Contribute Substantive Content for Possible Publication
on HelpingYouCare®

Non-Promotional, Substantive Articles, Videos & Columns

We encourage all members of our Community to submit substantive, non-promotional articles or videos, or propose to write a column, for potential publication on HelpingYouCare®.

Subject to our Terms for Contributed Content below, you will receive attribution and recognition on the site for any substantive, non-promotional content you submit that we decide to publish as Featured Contributed Content. Your short bio, a link to your website, and your photo (if you wish), may, subject to our approval, be included at the end of any such non-promotional article or video you submit that we elect to publish. If we publish your article or Video as Featured Contributed Content, you may also be listed on our Contributing Authors page, with your picture, short bio and a link to your website. If we accept your proposal to publish a column on HelpingYouCare®, you would receive your own bio page as a columnist, where your column would appear, along with appropriate promotion of the column on the site.

See below, for Instructions on How to Submit Substantive, Non-promotional Content for Consideration and potential publication on HelpingYouCare®.

All submitted content that we elect to post is published subject to the policies stated on this page, including the Terms set forth below, as well as our Terms of Use and all of our Legal Terms & Conditions.

Paid Content Articles

Articles that in our judgment are written purely or mainly for promotional purposes or for purposes of obtaining “back-links” are not accepted as non-promotional substantive content. However, we welcome substantive promotional content or substantive content with relevant contextual back-links, as paid content to support the HelpingYouCare® site, in accordance with our policies on Paid Content Articles set forth here and below and/or our Advertising Terms & Conditions.

Such paid content may be accepted, in our discretion, provided that it includes information that, in the judgment of our Editors, may be of interest or assistance to caregivers or seniors. If accepted, such a Paid Content Article will appear alone on its own page, and will be designated as “Contributed Content,” and appear on the Contributed Content page of the site. However, it will not appear anywhere else on the site, as it is our policy not to co-mingle advertising or paid content with substantive, non-promotional content (other than on the “Contributed Content – All” category page of the site).

See also Paragraph 5 of our Terms on Content Submission below, governing Paid Content. For further information about submitting articles as paid content, please e-mail us at Info@HelpingYouCare.com.

Contributed Content Pages

Content that we accept and publish as substantive, non-promotional content will appear on its own permanent page on the site and on the Featured Contributed Content page. It may also be featured in other applicable sections of the site and/or on the home page, in the discretion of our Editors.

Content that we accept and post as a Paid Content Article pursuant to our policies referenced above, will appear on its own page on the site and on the Contributed Content page, but it will not appear anywhere else on the site.

Instructions on How to Contribute Substantive, Non-Promotional Content, or Propose a Column, for potential publication on HelpingYouCare®:

1. You must first register on HelpingYouCare® (if you have not already done so), and click agreement to our Legal Terms & Conditions. Then, please sign in on the site, click “Edit Profile” (just under your welcome message after you sign in), and complete your profile. (Profiles are not public; they are visible only to you and to our Editors.) Only registered members of our Community who have completed their profiles may submit content for publication.

2. Then, please e-mail us (from your same e-mail address that you registered with HelpingYouCare®). Send your e-mail to: Editor@HelpingYouCare.com. Please include the words “Non-Promotional Content Submission” in the subject line of your e-mail, in order to help us recognize and respond to your e-mail more quickly.

3. Please include in your e-mail:

  • Your name and contact information, including your e-mail address, street address, telephone number(s), and fax (if you have one), where we can reach you.
  • A copy or detailed description of the substantive, non-promotional content you wish to contribute to HelpingYouCare®, and a suggestion of where you believe it could be published on the site.
  • Your bio, including your qualifications to write the proposed content and the nature of your interests relevant to HelpingYouCare®. If you have a bio and picture ready, in the form that you would like to appear at the bottom of your article (or on your bio page, in case you are proposing a column), please send it to us. If not, please describe enough of your background, experience, credentials, education and expertise, and interests, so that we can get to know you and your qualifications to write what you propose. This may include, for example, your educational background, credentials, experience, specialty and professional affiliations as a health care or other professional, other work experience, experience as a caregiver, experience as a writer in related fields (describe and provide cites or links if possible), or interest in topics or fields relevant to HelpingYouCare®.
  • Your website address, and/or links to sites where we might read more about you or your work, contributions or interests.

Terms:

1. No Monetary Compensation Paid, But You will Receive Attribution and Recognition on the Site for any of Your Non-Promotional Substantive Content that we Publish. Due to the limited profit, community service nature of HelpingYouCare®, we are not presently able to pay any compensation or monetary remuneration for content contributed to this site. However, we will give you credit and online public exposure for any of your substantive, non-promotional content that we publish. Any articles we accept for publication will be published under your byline, and for non-promotional, substantive articles, we will include your bio (of approximately 100 words or less) at the end of your article, along with a link to your website, and your headshot photo (at your option). All content published on HelpingYouCare®, including any content in an author’s bio or profile, is necessarily subject to our prior approval.

After publication of your substantive, non-promotional article(s) or video(s) as Featured Contributed Content on HelpingYouCare®, if you wish, we will list you on our Contributing Authors page as a Contributing Author to HelpingYouCare®). We will include your picture, short bio, and a link to your website, on the Contributing Authors Page.

If we accept your proposal to publish a column on HelpingYouCare®, in addition to being listed in our Publisher & Staff box as a Columnist, with a link to your bio and photo on that page, you would also receive your own more extensive bio page as a columnist, where your column would appear, along with appropriate promotion of the column on the HelpingYouCare® Site.

2. Acceptable Subject Matter for Articles, Videos or Columns. All content is subject to our Terms of Use, and a list of subjects on which we do not accept articles or other content is contained in our Code of Conduct and Editorial Policy. All articles, videos or columns submitted or proposed to HelpingYouCare® should contain substantive content of interest or help to caregivers or seniors on subjects within or related to the categories of content covered on the HelpingYouCare® site. Articles submitted as non-promotional content and that do contain substantive, non-promotional content useful for caregivers or seniors may not also contain commercials for your business or service or back-links within the body of the article, unless they are submitted as Paid Content Articles. However, we do permit authors of articles that we accept as substantive, non-promotional content to include at the end of their article a biography of themselves, subject to our approval, as referenced above.

Articles or other content that we judge to have primarily a commercial intent to promote your or another business or service or an intent primarily to obtain back-links, are not appropriate for publication as substantive non-promotional articles. Such promotional articles or articles primarily for the purpose of obtaining back-links may be submitted to be considered as Paid Content Articles pursuant to our policies and terms on submitting “Paid Content Articles” or pursuant to our Advertising Terms & Conditions.

3. Editorial Discretion. Publication and placement of any and all content on HelpingYouCare® is necessarily subject to the editorial judgment and discretion of our Editors. We reserve the editorial discretion to edit, modify, accept or decline any content, without providing any reason, and the placement of all content published on the HelpingYouCare® website is entirely within our Editors’ discretion. In cases where we elect to make material edits or changes to an article or submission, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the author of our proposed changes, give you an opportunity to comment, and work with you to reach a mutually agreed version of your article, before publication. However, the ultimate discretion of whether to accept and publish any content will necessarily remain with our Editors.

4. Legal Terms & Conditions. Publication and placement of any and all content on HelpingYouCare® is subject to and governed by our Terms of Use, Code of Conduct, and other Legal Terms & Conditions. You license to HelpingYouCare® and its owner and publisher, Care-Help LLC, the perpetual rights to publish and distribute any content you submit, upon the terms set forth in our Terms of Use and other Legal Terms & Conditions. By submitting any content to us to be considered for publication, you agree to all of the Legal Terms & Conditions of the Site, including without limitation our Terms of Use, Code of Conduct, Editorial Policy, and Privacy Policy, as well as the Terms and policies set forth on this page of the site. Before publication of any substantive content you submit, you must register on the HelpingYouCare® website and specifically agree to all of our Legal Terms & Conditions, and represent that you have read each of them.

We welcome and very much appreciate your submitting substantive, non-promotional content for possible publication, and we look forward to reviewing your submissions.

5. Paid Content Articles. We also welcome substantive promotional content or content with back-links, as paid content to support the HelpingYouCare® site, in accordance with our policies on Paid Content Articles above and/or our Advertising Terms & Conditions. Articles submitted as Paid Content Articles will be considered for posting only provided they include information that, in the judgment of our Editors, may be of interest or assistance to caregivers or seniors. To propose submission of promotional articles or other Paid Content Articles, please e-mail us at: Info@HelpingYouCare.com.

Submit Links to Other Resources of Potential Help to Caregivers or Seniors

Non-Promotional Links

We will appreciate your submitting links to other good non-commercial resources you have found, which may help caregivers or seniors. These may include, for example, government sites, sites of recognized and reputable health care providers, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, or national journalistic sources of high repute and recognition.

In this category, we do not accept (i) purely commercial links, which in the judgment of our editors have been submitted for the primary purpose of promoting a business or service, or links which in our judgment are submitted primarily with the intent of obtaining back-links for search engine optimization or other purposes, (ii) links which in our judgment are not directly and primarily helpful to caregivers or seniors, or (iii) links that duplicate content already on the site without adding substantially to the value of the site. Links to your own for-profit website or to websites of clients you represent as an online marketing or SEO consultant are presumed to be in the category of Paid Links below.

Links which we deem to qualify as “Non-Promotional Links” as set forth above, will normally be posted in the proper category on the Other Resources for Caregivers – Links page of the site. Ultimate judgment and discretion whether, and if so where, to publish any suggested link submitted is retained by our Editors.

To submit suggested Non-Promotional Links to helpful non-commercial resources, please e-mail us at: Editor@HelpingYouCare.com. Please include along with the proposed link, (i) a brief (approximately one to four sentence) description of the type of resources or category/ subject matter(s) of information found at that link, the source or sponsor or that site, and why it may be helpful to caregivers, (ii) whether you have any affiliation with the provider of such resource or site, and if so the nature of your affiliation, and (iii) your name, address (at least City and State), e-mail address, and your website/ URL.

Paid Links

Proposed links for promotional or advertising purposes or back-link purposes may be submitted and requested as Paid Links to support HelpingYouCare®, pursuant to the policies set forth here, or as advertising pursuant to our Advertising Terms & Conditions. Subject to our policies for Paid Links stated on this page and our Advertising Terms & Conditions, we welcome submissions of such links as Paid Links or as paid advertising in support of HelpingYouCare®.

Such Paid Links, if accepted, will be placed under “Contributed Links” on the Other Resources for Caregivers – Links page of the site.

Promotional links that we judge of potential relevance to our readers can also be placed within a text ad or image ad of any size or placement available pursuant to our Advertising Terms & Conditions, or may be included within a Paid Content Article that includes substantive information which, in the judgment of our Editors, may be of interest or assistance to caregivers or seniors, and otherwise meets our criteria for Paid Content Articles.

For further information or to propose submission of Paid Links, promotional links as paid advertising, or contextual and relevant back-links within substantive Paid Content Articles, please e-mail us at: Info@HelpingYouCare.com.

Terms

Any publication of links, suggestions as to resources, or other content of any kind on HelpingYouCare® is subject to the editorial judgment and discretion of our Editors, subject to our terms and policies set forth on this page, and subject to our Legal Terms & Conditions. By submitting any links or other content or by accessing this site, you agree to all of our Legal Terms & Conditions, including without limitation our Terms of Use, Code of Conduct, Editorial Policy, and Privacy Policy.
