Who Provides Home Care?

From the National Association For Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), a primary industry association for the home health care industry. Provides a good introduction to the home health care industry and the types of services and resources available. Includes descriptions of the various types of home care providers, including Home Health Agencies, Hospices, Homemaker and Home Care Aide Agencies, Staffing and Private Duty Agencies, Pharmaceutical and Infusion Therapy Companies, Durable Medical Equipment and Supply Dealers, Registries, and Independent Providers. This is a good introductory source. Also includes links to FAQ’s about how to choose a Home Care Provider, information on rights as a patient, selecting the right provider, accrediting agencies, standard billing and payment practices, a locator to find Home Care and Hospice agencies which are members of NAHC, and additional information about providers’ services.
