Palm Healthcare Announces 10th Annual Nursing Distinction Awards Dinner - May 4

Eugenia Millander, Nurse of the Year 2011 - Palm Healthcare Foundation Palm Healthcare Foundation, a nonprofit organization, has announced that it will hold its 10th Annual Nursing Distinction Awards Dinner on May 4, 2012, at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.

At the dinner, the Foundation will announce eight award recipients and name the 2012 Palm Healthcare Foundation and Palm Beach Post Nurse of the Year.

Eugenia Millander, who received the Nurse of the Year Award in 2011, is pictured at left.

The evening, which will include dancing, is being planned with the theme of “Broadway at The Breakers — an evening to celebrate the stars of our nursing community.”

“The Nursing Celebration Dinner is Palm Beach County’s signature event to recognize nurses and their compassionate and courageous work. Join us and mistress of ceremonies, CBS 12 News Anchor Suzanne Boyd, in honoring our community’s healthcare heroes and for a presentation of the 2012 Nursing Distinction Awards. Award winners are chosen on the basis of dedication to excellence in an area of expertise beyond the scope of their jobs, commitment to the profession of nursing, and a sense of community. One registered nurse will be selected from the eight category winners for the Palm Healthcare Foundation and Palm Beach Post’s Nurse of the Year Award. The Nurse of the Year receives a grand prize of $1000 and a two-night stay at The Breakers Palm Beach.”
