10 Finalists have been announced in the Connecting Generations Video Challenge being sponsored by the U.S. Administration on Aging (AoA) in honor of Older Americans Month, May, 2011. Public voting is open and ends May 27, to select the winner.
In our article, May is Older Americans Month, we reported on the declaration of May, 2011 as “Older Americans Month,” made by President Obama and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), following an annual tradition dating back to 1963.
Detailed information on the Connecting Generations Video Challenge being sponsored by the U.S. Administration on Aging (AoA) as part of this event, is included in our previous article.
The submission period for the Connecting Generations Video Challenge has ended and the judges have made their selections. Now it is up to you, the public, to select the winners.
The 10 Videos selected by the judges as the Finalists are available for viewing at Challenge.gov.
You can cast your vote for the best submission by logging on to Challenge.gov/ Submissions and selecting the video you think best reflects the Older Americans Month 2011 theme—Older Americans: Connecting the Community. If you don’t already have one, you will need to create a Challenge.gov account before you can cast your vote for the winner.
The public voting period runs from May 20, 2011 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 27, 2011. Winners will be announced on May 31, 2011. The winning team will receive public recognition from the Administration on Aging.
