Medicare Launches New Website for Caregivers

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has launched a new section of the Medicare.gov website focused on helping caregivers.

The new site, called Ask Medicare, provides information and support for caregivers. Some of the resources it provides include information on:

  • Navigating Medicare — Interactive tool on How to enroll in Medicare, Information on Medicare coverage for Preventive Care, In-Home Services, Mental Health, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Dialysis and Kidney Transplant, Hospice Care…
  • Paying for Care — Covered expenses; provider directory; prescription drugs (Part D)…
  • Condition-Specific Information — Cancer; Alzheimer’s; diabetes; heart disease…
