Cleveland Clinic revises statement, now says it is considering joining C. diff project

The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland announced that it will participate in a federally supported project to battle infections from the intestinal superbug called C. diff, having earlier declined to do so.

This reflects a growing concern nationwide over an increasing death rate from this difficult to treat anti-biotic resistent infection, which is transmitted primarily in hospitals and nursing homes.
