Parkinson’s Disease (also sometimes called Shaking palsy) usually begins around age 60, but can start earlier. It involves a disorder of nerve cells in a part of the brain that controls muscle movement – hence, the common symptoms of trembling, stiffness of arms, legs and trunk, slowness of movement, and poor balance and coordination, all of which become progressively worse with time.
