Johanna Quaas was born in 1925, and is Germany’s oldest active gymnast.
She retired as a physical education teacher from Leipzig, Germany. Her gymnastic training began when in her 50s. Her first competition was at age 56. She says, “It is a great feeling to be included, and I hope the record inspires others to realize it’s never too late.”
