Help to Quit Smoking

The National Network of Tobacco Cessation Quitlines is a state/federal partnership, sponsored in part by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which provides tobacco users in every state with access to the tools and resources they need to quit smoking. Their mission is to “ensur[e] the highest level of assistance to tobacco users who want to quit.”

Smokers wanting to quit can receive help including individual coaching, assistance in making a plan for quitting, and hotline support. The toll-free number 1-800 QUIT NOW (1-800-784-8669) serves as a single point of access to state-based quitlines.
