 In her book, Selling the Fountain of Youth: How the Anti-Aging Industry Made a Disease Out of Getting Old-And Made Billions, author Arlene Weintraub exposes how the anti-aging industry made a disease out of getting old (and made billions!). The $88 billion anti-aging business includes steroids, human growth hormone and bioidentical hormones as a way to regain youth.
Mainstream scientific researchers worry that these treatments are unproven and may raise the risk of cancer as well as other diseases.
